Homicide: Victim found in car facing wrong-way on KC street

KANSAS CITY–Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City. 

Just before 12:15a.m. Tuesday, officers were patrolling in the area of E 30th Street and Indiana Avenue when they observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway and facing oncoming traffic, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.

Officers stopped to check the vehicle and any occupants that may be inside. As they approached the vehicle, an adult male victim could be seen inside suffering from apparent gunshot trauma and unresponsive.

EMS was called to the scene and declared the victim deceased. Detective are working to determine what led up to the shooting and are actively working to identify a possible person of interest. No one has been identified and police do not currently have anyone in custody at this time.
