SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement continue investigating a deadly shooting in Topeka.
Just after 2p.m. January 3, police responded to the 800 block of SW Tyler for a possible shooting. EMS transported one victim identified as 43-year-old Stella M. Mahkuk of Topeka to an area hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries. On Tuesday police reported she died of her injuries.
Police have not reported an arrest of any additional details.
