CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo.— Two people were injured in an accident just before 6p.m. Monday at Lake of the Ozarks.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Searay 210BR driven by a 19-year-old Tekamah, Nebraska, woman was anchored at the 31 mile marker of the Main Channel in the mouth of the Big Niangua arm at Lake of the Ozarks.

The driver put the boat in reverse to try to avoid a crash with another vessel.  The anchor became dislodged and hit a 20-year-old male passenger from New Mexico in the head.

EMS transported driver and passenger to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
