RILEY COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 4p.m. Friday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Harley Davidson FLHX motorcycle driven by Daniel G. Davis, 66, Manhattan, was northbound on Tuttle Creek Boulevard twelve miles north of Manhattan.
The motorcycle rear-ended a 2016 Ford F-150 driven by Donald E. Oriley, 66, Hopkins Missouri, who was preparing to turn left onto West 92nd Avenue. Davis was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Debris from the crash struck a southbound a 2018 Dodge Journey driven Hope Wilson, 15, Wakefield.
Oriley, Wilson and a passenger in the Dodge were not injured. Davis was wearing safety glasses, but no helmet, according to the KHP.
