
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas home burglary and have suspects in custody.
Just after 2p.m. August 29, a sheriff's deputy responded to a burglary that occurred at a residence in the 7100 block of SW Montara Parkway in Topeka, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
After a preliminary investigation, deputies went to a residence in the 100 block of SE Willow Way. While at the Willow Way address, deputies found property believed to be stolen during the Montara Parkway burglary.

Ethan S. Jennings, 32, and Jonathan E. McAvoy, 33, both of Topeka were arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of burglary to a residence, felony theft, and criminal damage to property. Jennings was also booked in on a bench warrant out of the City of Topeka and a felony warrant out of Shawnee County.
