ELLSWORTH COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 1p.m. Monday in Ellsworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian identified as Rudolph Martinez, 65, Dodge City, was assisting Brandon Wade Adams, 44, Bonne Terre, Missouri navigate a 2018 Freightliner through a snowdrift covered parking lot at 216 Kansas 156 Highway at the I-70 Junction in Ellsworth.
The semi backed over Martinez. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Parsons Funeral Home. Adams was not injured.
