PLATTE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a bank robbery and asking for help to identify a suspect.
Early Wednesday, the FBI and Parkville Police Department were notified of damage that occurred Tuesday night to the unopened, new Chase Bank on 9000 Tom Watson Parkway in Parkville, according to a media release from the city.
Preliminary information indicates the individual responsible may have thrown a Molotov cocktail at the ATM attached to the bank and multiple windows were damaged.
This bank has not officially opened for business, and no one was injured or present during the incident.
The FBI is working alongside Parkville Police Department in this matter. The city released a security camera image of the individual believed to be the suspect.
