WYANDOTTE COUNTY —The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department has identified the man whose body was discovered on October 15, 2026 in the 6200 block of Washington Avenue at 42-year-old as Dorlando A. Ware, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, according to a media release from police.
A cause of death cannot be released until the autopsy is complete, a process that can take approximately six to eight weeks.
Just before 8:30 a.m. October 15, officers were dispatched to N. 62nd Street and Washington Avenue regarding a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers located one adult male behind a residence. The male was pronounced deceased on scene.
