
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a deadly shooting have made an arrest.
Just before 1a.m. on November 22, police responded to several reports of gunshots around SE 37th St. and SE Adams Street in Topeka, according to media release. While officers were investigating that area, they received information on a subject arriving at a local hospital by private vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds. That individual later identified as 16-year-old Kingston Scott of Topeka.
As a result of the investigation, police announced Friday a 16-year-old boy from Topeka, was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges Criminal discharge of firearm; Occupied vehicle with great bodily harm, Murder in the 1st degree; In the commission of a felony and Criminal discharge of firearm; Recklessly at occupied dwelling.
