JACKSON COUNTY —Two people were critically injured in an accident just before 10p.m. Friday in rural Jackson County, Kansas.
According to Sheriff Tim Morse, an ATV with a Valley Falls man and McLouth woman on board were westbound in the 19,000 of 142 Road near the county line.
The vehicle struck a dog, causing the driver to lose control and the vehicle rolled. The man and woman were transported to a Topeka hospital with life-threatening injuries. Jackson County EMS, Hoyt, Mayetta and PBPN fire departments responded to the incident.
The sheriff's office released no additional details including the condition of the dog.
