Police ask for help to ID Kansas bank robbery suspect

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Police are investigating a bank robbery and askig for help to identify a suspect

Just before 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, police responded to a reported robbery at US Bank, 719 S Kansas Avenue in Topeka, according to a media release. It was reported that a man entered the bank, indicated he had a weapon, demanded money and then fled on foot. Police were on scene and are working with federal partners to investigate the incident. No injuries have been reported.

The suspect was seen with light-colored facial hair, wearing a multi-color ball cap backwards, a red football jersey with the number “7” on it, red athletic shorts and brown boots. Anyone with information is encouraged to report it to law enforcement by calling 911.
