GEARY COUNTY — Searchers continued their efforts Monday to recover the body of a suspected drowning victim in the Curtis Creek area on the northwest side of Milford Lake, according to the Geary County Sheriff's Department.
Jesse Paul Sockness, 41, Lawrence, disappeared while swimming in the lake on April 30.
Searchers planned to work from the shoreline Tuesday due to the anticipated high winds and waves at the lake.
