
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a July 15, homicide have made an arrest.
Just before 7p.m. July 15, police were patrolling near the Central Park Community Center, 1534 SW Clay Street, Topeka, when they located a suspicious vehicle.
Further investigation of the vehicle led to the discovery of a deceased man later identified as 72-year-old Terry Keller, according to Assistant Topeka Police Chief Mike Cross. The following day police indicated Keller's death was a homicide.
As the result of a digital canvas of the neighborhood, police have identified a person of interest. On Wednesday, police arrested Wisdom Curls, 24 of Topeka and transferred him to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Murder in the 1st degree; Intentional and premeditated, Aggravated Robbery and Criminal possession of a weapon.
