
SEWARD COUNTY, Neb. — Law enforcement arrested one person after finding over 500 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 Wednesday in Seward County, Nebraska, according to a media release from the Nebraska State Patrol.
Just before 10:30a.m. Wednesday, a trooper saw an eastbound Nissan Rogue following a semi too closely, near Milford. During the traffic stop, a Nebraska State Patrol K9 detected the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle.
Troopers searched the vehicle and found approximately 525 pounds of suspected cocaine and 9.3 grams of suspected heroin. The driver, Gurarppan Gill, 23, of Yuba City, California, was arrested on requested charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver. He is being held in the Seward County Jail.
