KANSAS CITY —Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Kansas City that occurred just before 7p.m. Wednesday in Kansas City.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a man was crossing Blue Ridge Boulevard from west to east at 103rd Terrace. He was in the middle of the southbound lanes of Blue Ridge when at least one vehicle struck him, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
The unknown vehicle(s) left the scene of the crash without stopping and the pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene.
This is fatality #81 in Kansas City, Missouri compared to #85 at this time last year, according to Gonzalez.
