
CRAWFORD COUNTY—A now former member of the Kansas State University football team is out of jail after an arrest in southeast Kansas.
On Wednesday, police in Arma arrested 19-year-old Darren Jay-Shawn Ross on drug allegations, according to online booking records.
Ross was a member of the Wildcat 2024 recruiting class and played high school football at Liberty North.
Ross was booked into jail just before 3:30a.m. Wednesday on requested charges of distributing marijuana, according to the Crawford County sheriff's web site. He met the requirement of a $15,000 bond and was released just before 7p.m. Thursday.
His bio has been removed from the Kansas State Football website. He did not play in the first two games of the season for the Wildcats.
