HARVEY COUNTY —A Kansas teen died in an accident just after 1p.m. Friday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Honda Accord driven by Lillyan Grace Koehn, 19, Wichita, was southbound on Kansas 15 just south of NW 60th Street.
The Honda left the roadway briefly to the right. The driver over corrected to the left and entered a broadside skid.
When the Honda entered its lane, a northbound 2016 Ford Escape driven by Katherine Marie Unruh, 40, Newton, made an avoidance maneuver and left the roadway to the right. Both vehicles collided in the east ditch.
Koehn was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported Unruh to Newton Medical Center. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.

HARVEY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 1p.m. Friday in Harvey County.
The Harvey County Sheriff reported a car driven by a teen girl was southbound on Kansas 15 between Northeast 48th and 60th streets.
The vehicle crossed the center line into the northbound lane. A northbound SUV driven by a woman in her 40s collided with the side of the car as they entered the east ditch.
The teen driver was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported the driver of the SUV to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
There were no passengers in either vehicle. The sheriff's office released no additional details including the names of the drivers.
