ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a car theft have made an arrest.
On Saturday evening a 72-year-old victim reported the theft of her 2011 Ford Focus from the 400 block Mound Street in Atchison by a person known to the victim, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
Just after 9:30p.m. Saturday, police recovered the vehicle and a 34-year-old suspect was taken into custody. Mary C. McDonald, 34, Atchison, is being held in the county jail on requested charges of theft.
