SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new charges after a standoff in Topeka.

On Wednesday, police responded to the area of 10th and Fairlawn in Topeka after report of a suspicious vehicle, which was determined to be stolen, according to LT Manuel Munoz.

When officers attempted to stop the driver later identified as 26-year-old Brandon Baker of Topeka.

He attempted to elude the officers and was driving very erratically. He led officers to the 1200 block of SW Harvey and ran into an apartment.
