Kansas man arrested following 2-month drug investigation

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities have arrested a suspect on drug charges after a two month investigation.

On Tuesday, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office and the Shawnee County Drug Enforcement Task Force concluded a two month investigation by serving a narcotic search warrant in the 4400 Block of SE Weekley Court, according to Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer.

Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with the Topeka Police Department and the Rossville Police Department, located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia used to ingest and consume narcotics at the residence.

They also arrested Wayne H. McCauley, 50, of Topeka, and booked him into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
