Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will impact the region today, with rainfall amounts up to around three-quarter of an inch across central and southeast Kansas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita.
Locally higher amounts are likely, NWS noted.
A few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms are possible today through this evening. While widespread severe storms are not expected, the strongest activity may be capable of dime to quarter size hail and 50 to 60 mph winds, NWS reported.
