POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 7a.m. Friday in Pottawaatomie County.
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff reported a 2011 Chevy Impala driven by Bryce Ashlock, 23, of Ogden, was northbound near highway 63 and Doyle Creek Road just north of St. Marys. The Chevy crossed over the center line and struck a southbound Honda Civic driven by Alyssa Mullins, 18, of Onaga.
A medical helicopter transported Mullins to Stormont-Vail hospital with serious injuries. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the Sheriff's office. EMS transported Ashlock to Stomont Vail in Topeka for treatment of serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
