DICKINSON COUNTY -- Two earthquakes shook parts of Dickinson County Tuesday afternoon.

The first quake, a magnitude 2.5, temblor, struck at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Kansas Geological Survey (KGS). The earthquake was centered approximately one mile east of Solomon.

Second earthquake, a stronger 3.6 magnitude temblor, struck at 4:31 p.m. Tuesday, KGS noted. The second quake was centered northeast of Hope, just northwest of the intersection of 1000 Avenue and Rain Road.
