Cloud County baseball announces spring break schedule changes

CONCORDIA -- Weather is once again playing a factor in the Cloud County Community College baseball schedule as head coach Eric Gilliland has announced changes for three games to be played this week.

After adding a non-conference doubleheader against the Hastings College JV team that would be postponed due to weather, the T-Birds will now travel to Hastings for a single 6 p.m. contest this evening in Hastings against the Broncos. The games were originally added to make up for games that have already been lost due to weather this season, with CCCC now getting one of the three games that have been canceled back with the game this evening.

In other schedule-related news for this week, the Cloud County home baseball doubleheader against Butler Community College that was scheduled for Saturday will now be played on Friday beginning at 1 p.m. at Lee Doyen Field. The change comes as another weather system is expected to make it's way through North Central Kansas on Saturday, forcing the change that will now see the T-Birds and Grizzlies play a doubleheader in El Dorado on Thursday and have a quick turnaround to close out the series on Friday.

If any other changes to the schedule are made for any of Cloud County’s in-season sports, they will be announced both on the T-Bird athletic social media pages (Facebook and Twitter) as well as the Cloud County athletics website (www.cloudtbirds.com).
