IOLA -- Looking to avenge their loss from earlier in the season, the Cloud County Community College men's basketball team would hold host Allen Community College to just 22 points in the second half to grind out a 71-66 road victory in Iola on Thursday.

The victory moves Cloud County to 9-18 overall and 3-15 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference while the Red Devils fall to 15-12 overall and 9-8 in the KJCCC.

It would be a 35-point effort in both the first and second halves that would fuel the T-Birds to victory as CCCC would overcome a 44-35 halftime deficit to allow the Red Devils to score just half of their first-half total to earn the five-point victory. The win would come despite just five bench points on the evening as Cloud County would make the most of a 17-12 advantage in points off turnovers and 16-15 edge in second-chance points. For the game, CCCC would shoot 33.3 percent (23-of-69) from the field and connect on 13-of-21 (61.9 percent) of their free throws.

All five Cloud County starters would reach double-figures on the evening, with sophomore Iyen Enaruna leading the charge with an 18-point, 10 rebound double-double for the T-Birds. Dyelan Reed would finish the game by going five-of-seven from the field to score 14 points and add four rebounds while DJ Sims and Jay Lewis each scored 12. Chad Vincent-Simon finished off the double-figure scoring with 10 points in just under 25 minutes of action while Kendall Sutton would score four of the five bench points.

Cloud County will close out the regular season with two of their final three games at home beginning on Saturday when the T-Birds host Independence Community College at 4 p.m. The Pirates will enter the contest with a 19-8 overall record and 10-7 mark in the KJCCC following a 77-74 home loss to Coffeyville on Wednesday night.
