Four Tiger women post top three finishes at Northwest Open

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Fort Hays State Women's Track and Field squad competed at the Northwest Open on Friday and Saturday. The Tigers had four individuals place in the top three of events in which they participated.

Earning second place finishes in events were Faith Little (1,000 meters, Abi Stewart (5,000 meters, and Rohey Singhateh (Triple Jump). Summer Kragel placed third in the high jump.

Little covered the 1,000 meters in a time of 3:06.52, just behind the winning pace of 3:04.84 by Mia Wilhoit of Baker University. Stewart ran a time of 18:50.09 in the 5,000 meters. Singhateh had a 37'5.25" effort in the triple jump, and Kragel cleared a height of 5'3" in the high jump.

Looking to the schedule next week, FHSU has meets at Wichita State Thursday, Nebraska-Kearney Friday, and Pittsburg State Saturday all listed.
