SHAWNEE COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 2p.m. Tuesday in Shawnee County.

The Kansa Highway Patrol reported a 2018 BMW X 2 Series driven by Susan E.&nbsp; Lenoir, 76, Topeka, was northbound on U.S. 75 one half mile south of 35th Street in Topeka.

The car left the roadway to the right, struck a road sign and drove into Soldier's Creek. Vehicle flipped upside down in Soldier's Creek and was submerged in water.

&nbsp;Lenoir was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the&nbsp;Coroners office in Topeka. She was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.&nbsp;
