Manholes along South Ninth Street to get adjustment

The manholes along South Ninth Street will be getting an adjustment during the next two weeks.

Beginning Wednesday, APAC Shears of Salina will adjust manholes to create a smoother driving surface as part of the City of Salina’s annual asphalt mill and inlay project.  The work is anticipated to last two weeks, weather permitting.

The work on South Ninth Street from West Walnut Street to West Crawford Street will be completed with lane closures; two way traffic will be maintained.  Motorists are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes to their destinations, according to information from the city.

The $1.5 million project is a major component of the city's $4.7 million 2019 maintenance capital improvement program.
