MIAMI, Okla. – Taking on two of the top three teams in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association Top-25 poll, the number-25 ranked Cloud County Community College wrestling team would struggle in defeats to top-ranked Western Wyoming Community College and number three ranked North Idaho Community College at the NJCAA Coaches Duals on the campus of Northeast Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Oklahoma on Saturday.

The defeat to North Idaho would open up day two of the duals for the T-Birds who would fall by a score of 57-0 before losing their final match at the two-day event to Western Wyoming by a score of 60-0.

24 points in each match would be conceded out of the gates by CCCC due to open weight classes at 141 pounds, 157 pounds, 165 pounds, and 197 pounds, leaving the T-Birds in a big hole that they would be unable to recover from in either dual. The closest match of the day would come at 149 pounds for Cloud County against North Idaho's Alex Lopez as Nate Normandin would fall in an 8-4 decision.

What's next?

Cloud County will get their first crack at a home dual since November 21st when they play host to Central Christian College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prior to the T-Birds match will be Concordia High School vs. Republic County High School kicking things off at 6 p.m. as Cloud County will look to earn their second home dual win of the year.
