HUTCHINSON— Authorities are working to determine the cause of a Wednesday morning house fire in Hutchinson.

Just after 3a.m., firefighters were called out to 314 Justice for a structure fire, according to fire Chief Steve Beer.

Upon arrival, crews found the single-story home with fire along one side of the home. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire and keep it contained to that area. The structure suffered extensive damage.

One adult was in the home at the time of the fire and was able to escape unharmed. The fire was called into 911 by a passerby who also alerted the occupant.

There were no injuries, according to Beer.
