Colorado felon jailed for alleged forgery at Kan. cell phone store

RILEY COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a report of forgery, identity theft, and attempted theft in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave. in Manhattan, according to Riley County Police.

Just after 6:30p.m. October 10, a suspect identified as Maggie Ann Lyon, 25, Englewood, Colorado, attempted to open a business account with AT&T to obtain electronics.  In addition to AT&T, Metro Denver Sprinkler LLC is also listed as a victim in the alleged crime.  

On Thursday, police in Manhattan arrested Lyon on requested charges of "Forgery; Possess with intent to distribute written instrument; 1st conviction, Attempted theft of property or services; Value $1,500 to $25,000; Pocket-Picking and Making false information Identity theft; Defraud to receive benefits > $100,000."   She is being held on a$25,000 Bond, according to the Riley County Police Department Report.

Lyon was on parole after three convictions on similar charges at cell phone stores in Mesa and El Paso County Colorado, according to the Colorado Department of Corrections.
