SEDGWICK COUNTY —Authorities are investigating an occupational accident that sent a man to the hospital.
Just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday, police and emergency crews were dispatched to the Donham Recycling Facility, 1600 S. Hoover Court in Wichita, according to officer Paul Cruz.
The investigation revealed a 51-year-old employee was dismantling a dock lift when he was struck by spring causing critical injuries to his head.
EMS transported the man to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
