BARTON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect in connection with threats involving a witness in an upcoming court case.
On November 10, police were dispatched on a call for service in reference to alleged criminal threats, according to a media release.
Barton County Dispatch transferred the reporting person to an officer. The officer was informed that the suspect, Shae Emig, 48, Great Bend, made specific heinous threats of violence to a victim, and referenced a previous and pending court case.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed the previous case and the court date. Officers located Emig and arrested him on requested charges of aggravated intimidation of a witness and battery. Emig was booked into jail on a $40,000 bond.
