LAFAYETTE COUNTY —A Kansas man died during a pursuit with law enforcement just before 4a.m. Sunday in Lafayette County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Acura TL driven by a 67-year-old Kansas City, Kansas man was westbound on Old Highway 40 at Route M. The driver failed to yield to a sheriff's deputy and a pursuit ensued. The driver failed to negotiate a left turn. The car traveled off the right side of the road, rolled and the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Stewart-Hoefner Funeral Home. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
