Victim survived after shot in the head by Kansas City felon

KANSAS CITY —A Kansas City man faces multiple charges for a shooting at a home in Kansas City, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson  

Nathan Roscoe, 42, faces 1st Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm charges.

On September 27, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence regarding shots fired and located the victim who was alert and conscious. The victim had an obvious wound on his head and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the head, according to court records.

Based on witness reports, Roscoe was identified as the shooter and was still in the residence before complying with the deputies’ orders and being taken into custody. 

Roscoe remains jailed on a $50,000 bond.
