
SEDGWICK COUNTY —A suspect arrested in connection with a violent abduction shown on a doorbell video this week in Wichita is being held on multiple allegations including a hold for Immigration and Custom Enforcement, according to online jail records.

Just after 7 p.m. Tuesday, officers with the Wichita Police Domestic Intervention and Violence Reduction team (DIVRT) located and arrested 22-year-old Daniel T. Espitia Guevara in relation to the doorbell surveillance case, according to a media release.
At 10:38p.m. police booked him into Sedgwick County jail where he is being held without bond on requested charges of Aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, criminal restraint and hold for ICE, according to online jail records.
Just after 3 p.m. Tuesday Wichita Police Investigators received a phone call, from a woman claiming to be the individual investigators were attempting to identify in the case. Investigators immediately responded to her location, made contact, and transported her to City Hall so detectives could conduct a victim interview.
Investigators identified the woman as a 35-year-old who lives in the area where the video was captured. At this stage of the investigation, police believe this incident is a case of domestic violence where the woman was victimized by her boyfriend. The woman did not have any significant injuries.
