ALLEN COUNTY — A Kansas man was hospitalized after a grain bin accident in rural Allen County.
Just before 8p.m. Thursday emergency crews responded to the Bernsten Farms, 3061 Utah Road near La Harpe, according to a statement from The Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
The farmer was working inside the 10,000 bushel bin when the corn shifted and he was trapped. After four hours, emergency crews were able to extricate him through the roof. He was transported to the Allen County Hospital
Crews from La Harpe, Iola, Colony and Anderson County assisted in the rescue.
