Local group collecting necessities, food for those in need

A local organization is collecting supplies to be distributed to those in need in Salina later this month.

Let's Restore Humanity is collecting winter necessities, personal hygiene products, and bagged groceries for those in need. According to organizer Miranda Bachman, the group will drive the items to various locations around Salina on Feb. 27 for distribution.

Items can be dropped off from 8-5 p.m. Monday through Friday with David Litchman at State Farm Insurance, 1023 Greeley Avenue. Those who are not able to drop off items should email [email protected], Bachman noted.
