KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement officers protect and serve in many ways that often go without any recognition.
On Tuesday, the Kansas City Police Department shared a photo of Rookie Officer Harrison, reading to a child at Metro Patrol Division.
According to the KCPD report, "the child’s parent was arrested for a domestic violence issue. While officers worked to find a safe place for the child, Harrison stayed with him, showing care. Eventually, a relative picked up the child." "Our officers are grateful for the opportunity to serve."
