Sheriff: Kansas couple caught transporting cocaine

 JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations.

Just before 11p.m. on December 29, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Plymouth Neon on Arizona Avenue near 3rd Street in Holton, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

During the stop, Deputies seized drug paraphernalia along with a substance believed to be cocaine. The driver, Courtney Marie Buettgenbach, 32, of Horton, and the passenger, Tyrone James Rose, 48, of Effingham were arrested. Buettgenbach was booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of cocaine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic charges.

Rose was booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of cocaine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear seatbelt.
