Chiefs kicker visits President Trump in the Oval Office

WASHINGTON —Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker made a stop Thursday to visit President Trump in the Oval Office.

A photo of the visit, taken by Special Assistant to the President Margo Martin, appeared on her social media account. “The GOAT of kicking @buttkicker7 meets the GOAT of Presidents @realDonaldTrump," Martin wrote. The White House has not released details on Butker’s visit.

Butker, who supported Trump's Presidential campaign and that of Missouri U.S. Senator Josh Hawley, is outspoken about his views against abortion.

Butker first made what he called a “very intentional" foray into politics in May, when he delivered a controversial commencement address at Benedictine College, a private Catholic liberal arts school in Atchison, Kansas. The three-time Super Bowl champion said, among other things, that most of the women receiving degrees were probably more excited about getting married and having children, and that some Catholic leaders were “pushing dangerous gender ideologies onto the youth of America.”

Butker visited the White House and President Biden in 2024 after the Chiefs Super Bowl win.
