WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Law enforcement had a successful drug raid last weekend.
On July 4th, while many residents prepared for celebrations, the Kansas City, Kansas Narcotics as part of Midwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas along with the Special Operations Unit, conducted a successful operation in Kansas City, Kansas, targeting methamphetamine trafficking, according to a media release.
Officers arrested two suspects without injury or property damage and seized $13,250 in cash and 143.5 lbs. of meth - the largest single meth seizure in the department’s history.
Members of these units chose to spend part of their federal holiday conducting this operation, reflecting their dedication to public safety and to keeping dangerous drugs out of Kansas City, Kansas neighborhoods.
