SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly shooting and have made an arrest.
Just before 8:00 pm, police responded to report of a shooting at the Crown Point Apartment complex in the 3700 block of Park South Court, according to Police Lt. Donna Eubanks.
First responders found a man later identified as 44-year-old Jeremy L. Palmer of Topeka with life-threatening injuries. American Medical Response responded and pronounced him deceased.
As a result of the investigation police arrested 23-year-old Jacorey T. Porter of Topeka on requested charges of Murder in the 2nd degree, intentional, Aggravated endangering a child, reckless situation and Criminal restraint.
