SHAWNEE COUNTY—Two people were hospitalized after a dog attack in Topeka.
Just before 1a.m. Thursday, police responded to a vicious animal call in the 2800 block of SE Wear Circle in Topeka, according to a media release. First responders learned that an adult male homeowner and an adult male acquaintance had been bitten by multiple dogs.
Both individuals sustained injuries and were transported by AMR to a local hospital. The homeowner suffered minor injuries, while the acquaintance sustained life-threatening injuries.
Topeka Police Animal Control officers removed three dogs from the residence. This is considered an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public at this time.
