KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri and a shooting victim died.
Just before 11:30a.m. June 9, patrol officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of North Briarcliff Drive on a reported dead body, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
As officers arrived, they were directed inside a residence. There, they located an adult female victim with apparent bodily trauma. KCFD Medics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Detectives and crime scene personnel responded to the scene to begin a death investigation.
The followin day, KCPD detectives were notified by the medical examiner that the death was ruled a homicide. This case is now being investigated as a homicide, and no one is in custody at this point. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the incident.
