Kan. man injured after crash with police SUV moved from hospital to jail

DICKINSON COUNTY—A Kansas man injured in an accident during a police chase that occurred just after 11:30a.m. Friday in Dickinson County is out of the hospital and in jail.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Junction City Police and Chapman Police were in pursuit of a 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Jordan David Rhynes, 28, Fort RIley, on Rain Road near 2900 Avenue just south of Kansas 18.

The motorcycle struck a Chapman Police Department 2020 Dodge  Durango driven by James Samuel Reynolds, 45, Chapman.

EMS transported Rhynes to Stormont Vail in Junction City. Reynolds was not injured.  Rhynes was booked into jail just before 6p.m. Friday on requested charges of reckless driving, maximum speed limits and flee or attempt to elude, according to online jail records.
