KANSAS CITY—A jury has convicted a Kansas City man on multiple child sex charges for sexual abuse he perpetrated on a child, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.
Robert J. Warren, 63, was convicted of Statutory Rape 1st Degree, Statutory Rape 2nd Degree, Sexual Misconduct Involving a Child, two counts of Child Molestation 4th Degree and Enticing/Attempting to Entice a Child. He will be sentenced on April 27.
According to court records, in August 2017, Kansas City police were alerted to sexual abuse involving a 14-year-old child. Forensic interviews of the victim confirmed the abuse on more than one occasion.
