KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Mssouri.
Just after 8p.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to a shooting in 1500 block of E 59th Terrace in Kansas City, Missouri, according to KCPD Sergeant Jake Becchina. The caller advised there was a person outside that appeared to be injured and needed help.
On arrival officers located a victim later identified as 28-year-old Jamon Norfleet in front of a residence there. Norfleet told officers he had been shot at a nearby location near an apartment complex in the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road.
The victim was unable to provide any additional information regarding suspects. Officers called for EMS who transported the victim to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Additional officers responded to the area described by the victim in the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road and located evidence of a crime scene at that location.
Detectives and Crime Scene investigators began conducing investigation and processing the scene for evidence. Later in the evening detectives were notified from the hospital that Jamon Norfleet had died.
The case is now being investigated as a homicide.
