SHAWNEE COUNTY —Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that caused thousands of dollars in damage at a warehouse in Topeka.
Just after 1a.m. Tuesday, firefighters were dispatched to a fire in a warehouse for Davin Electric at 2131 NE Grantville Road, according to fire department spokesperson Rosie Nichols.
First arriving crews found a large warehouse with heavy smoke. Firefighters extinguished the fire, keeping it contained to the building where it originated. No occupants were located at the time of the incident.
The total estimated loss associated with the fire is approximately $175,000, with $75,000 in property loss and $100,000 in content loss.
There were no injuries reported.
