Suspect in $36,000 burglary at Kansas church captured

WYANDOTTE COUNTY—Law enforcement investigating a church burglary have made an arrest.

On Wednesday,  police reported a person of interest in Monday’s recovery of approximately $36,000 of stolen property from a Kansas City Kansas church is in custody and charged with the crime, according to Kansas City Kansas Police.

The Wyandotte County District Attorney has charged 22-year-old Enrique Martinez Vasquez of Kansas City, Kan., with felony burglary, theft and criminal damage to property.

He remains in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $35,000 bond.
